How to Use the Daily Commute Cost Calculator

Enter your one-way travel distance, workdays per month, and one-way travel time. Select a vehicle type or enter your vehicle's MPG. For an electric vehicle, enter its energy use and your electricity rate. Add daily parking and toll charges, estimated maintenance per mile, and any other monthly travel expense. Monthly take-home pay and pay frequency are used to show the cost per paycheck and the percentage of income spent commuting.
