Select an appliance or choose “Custom appliance,” then enter its power consumption. Use the Power unit field to specify whether the number is in watts or kilowatts. Enter Hours used per day, Days used per month, and the Electricity rate shown on your utility bill in dollars per kilowatt-hour. Cost per hour shows the price of running it for one hour, Cost per day uses your daily operating time, and Estimated yearly cost assumes the same monthly usage for 12 months.
